Bureau Outlines National Youth Policy Direction
The emerging policy direction for the Youth Economic Empowerment Bureau is being shaped around four pillars: mentorship, financing pathways, training and technical support. The Bureau will sit within the Ministry of Education, Youth, Social Development, Gender Affairs, Aging and Disabilities.
The Bureau is being designed to assist youth seeking to establish new businesses, while directly engaging young people in emerging sectors of the national economy. Policy development is being informed by direct consultation with youth, the private sector and civil society.
Further policy details, including eligibility criteria, application processes and partnership arrangements, will be published as the Bureau’s framework is finalised.
